Cast your eyes over this incredible painting, entitled Kaitiakitanga, (meaning guardianship) and look closely at the composition, the shapes, the layers, the shadows, the birds, the flowers and all the botanical elements. It is mysterious, beautiful, old-world, delicately detailed and magical. This is the work of New Zealand sculptor and painter, Emma Moncrieff.

A group of designers and creatives came together on a fashion photoshoot on location in South Africa.
When this group of designers and creatives come together on a fashion photoshoot, a wonderful symmetry is formed. On location in South Africa (with two beautiful animals, Rocket the cheetah and Columbia the zebra) a perfect collaboration of creativity was born.
Three Cape Town fashion designers - Caryn Wilensky, stylist, designer and the creator behind exquisite babouche shoes and clothing company ‘Coast & Koi’, Debbie Cornell of ‘The Traveling Jackets of Africa’ who creates bespoke repurposed embroidered and appliquéd vintage jackets and Colleen Brand of ‘African Baroque’ handmade jewelry all joined forces. Their colourful and gorgeous ‘statement making’ gear became the perfect partnership.
Model, Philippa Tumubweinee, a lecturer in architecture at the University of Cape Town was an ideal choice with her graceful style and behind the scenes was make-up artist Zoe Cornell.
This vibrant and colourful shoot was captured by lifestyle, entertainment and portrait photographer Leigh Page, who is well known for her unobtrusive and relaxed shooting style.
